Electromagnetic Waves

On the electromagnetic waves, Mr. Mahmud points out a discovery by the Quran; "By the Sky which returns, (Wa-ssama'e That Irrajj'a) And by the Earth which opens out." He comments that; the sky acts like a reflector of the electromagnetic waves. Radio waves bounces back to earth, so we can hear the sound on the radio. Without that we will loose the wave. We agree with the electromagnetic wave theory. On the other hand, on what basis he concludes that the Quran was talking about electromagnetic waves? In the Bible: "With him (God) have you spread out the skies, Strong as a cast metal mirror?" (Job 37:18). Here is not only "sky which returns" but "sky which reflects." This is the word Mr. Mahmud was looking for. I shall reserve myself, this time, and not ask anymore questions.

To the Muslim that the Quran is filled with science, we advise, a close examination of each claim. To prove scientific laws and theories discovered in recent times not known by the prophet of Islam takes more than the play with words. A close examination of each accurate claim, can easily prove that this knowledge was previously known and already existed in the Bible. Another reference is Dr. William Campbell's book The Quran, in the Light of Science, examines more of these claims, proving that Dr. Bucaille was not using scientific methods to determine his conclusions. As I presented, one must study both claims before making a decision. The problem that is prevalent in the Islamic world today is that Muslims do not give a chance to the Christian point of view, and close the door, leaving no opportunity for either to prove their claim.
