Yahushua – The true name for what many in the Western world call Jesus. Jesus is not His real name
Torah – These are the first five books in the Bible written by Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy contained in every Christian Bible but vastly ignored by Christians)
Although I am not pedantic or dogmatic of certain things, you can choose to call him Jesus, Isa or Jesu but none of these are or were ever His real NAME but He can and does answer under these names, I know because I have heard many testimonies of people calling Him with these names even though He is not called these appellations but you may ask why should I use His true name why not just use Jesus or some other form?
I believe for it’s honorable to call him what His real name is such as Yahushua since our Father in heaven gave Him that name delivered by an angel.
Luke 1:30-31 (KJV) And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. (31) And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
Would it be right for me to change what the Father in heaven has given? I would suggest to you that the Master of the whole universe knows better and a name in Hebrew is not only a name to be called by but it is also related to the person’s nature, fame in Hebrew culture.
When someone says to you Bill Gates then even though you may have never met him instantly the thought that runs into most people’s head who own a desktop computer is the man who owns Microsoft one of the software giants of America. Likewise when Yahushua is pronounced it has a fame behind it that few realize.
YHWH wants to be honored in our lives and He wants worship and love from us to all fellow men and especially reverence toward Him to demonstrate who we worship. By just saying I worship God well which god do you worship in this multicultural society? Yahuweh the Supreme true God of Israel, Allah of Arabia, Krishna of India or Jupiter of Rome and Greece or the god of atheism? Yes there is a god of atheism and he is called "I don't exist."
To one of my questions that Jesus is not His name and can never be this is what was stated by one brother in Messiah Yahushua.
Yes his name was Jeheshua. Jesus is just his English name/. The same way a spanish person (if I’m not wrong ) call him Jesu Christo. Therfore I don’t think that the church are claiming that during his lifetime, his name was Jesus. Its just his name in English.
The spirit that follows one’s speech is what is important. So for example where a Spanish person calls out on “Jesu Christo” while English person calls out on Jesus is immaterial, but rather what is important is the heart and who they are referring to in their heart. The name coming out of their mouth is just a reflection of the language they speek.
What are your thoughts on my explanation??
This is how people reason so it’s ok to call him Jesu Christos or His English name Jesus. I think not.
Who has the authority anyway? Us or the Father in heaven? Remember He sent an Angle to give that name since it was considered rather important.
If these things were ok then why would our Father in heaven have the name of Yahushua hand delivered by an angel? With all due respect to the educated I want all those with a PhD to raise their hands! Now please answer this for me. Why did the God of Israel had His name hand delivered by an angel? Why did that angel not say it was Jesus? So if that is what you are arguing for I must say its nice to call yourself a good educated man but sometimes even educated men can get their tongues twisted and give out incorrect information like Yahushua was never the name. To be honest I use the name Jesus sometimes for people who do not know who Yahushua is so its not like I am against my Master’s English derivative. Not at all. I dare not say anything against Him.
Can I find proof that the name was Yahushua and not Jesus in the New Testament?
Yes you can. some of you may not be aware that when the King James Version was being translated that in one particular verse the name was mistaken for the term “Jesus” but was actually Joshua. So what was Joshua’s Hebrew name? It was Yahushua, which can also be written as Yeshoshua.
Let me show you the proof.
Hebrews 4:8 (KJV) For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Do you see the mistake? Let me now show you the correction in the New King James Version Bible.
Hebrews 4:8 (NKJV) For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.
Notice the switch that now its corrected to Joshua. Now you can easily go to any Bible and check out Joshua’s Hebrew name.

V’ Yomar Mosheh Al Yahushua.
I hope you can see this very very clearly even from the mistake that was made in the King James version translation that the name was indeed Yahushua and not Jesus. The term Jesus is an appellation from the Latin/Greek from ee-sus to ee-sous. Note that the Qur’an a Muslim Holy book that was written in the 7th century used the term ee-sa for the term Yahushua. This is clear proof from the 7th century that in Arabia the name became known as ee-sa which is the derivative of the Latin/Greek.
Now I have given you proof from the 1611 KJV Bible and from the Qur’an in the 7th century.
I suggest personal revelation is important. I am not sure about you but it played a major role in my own personal life from an ex-Muslim to a Rabbi well that never happens as far as I know. Maybe from a Muslim to a cleric yes but messianic Rabbi seems impossible! So if you want to know who ordained me as a Rabbi it was my Master Yahushua who ordained me and sent me. Now most of you out there may argue why call yourself a Rabbi and quote Matthew 23:8. What many of you do not realize that the term there is not Rabbi at all but really translated as the Great one and Rabbi is a perfectly acceptable title.
Now why did the Father in heaven not just give a dream to Mary or Joseph for His name? The reason is that it’s all about The Name under heaven. That name given is not Jesus or Iesous but Yahushua.
Another appellation you may have heard of is Yeshua. This is the short form but actually has its root in Aramaic and not Hebrew. This was first coined in Babylon (Iraq). In Israel it was used later in the first century after 25% of the Jewish exiles returned. How do we verify this? This is very easy as we look at Ezra the scribe who used it in the book of Ezra.
Ezra 8:33 (NKJV) Now on the fourth day the silver and the gold and the articles were weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest, and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; with them were the Levites, Jozabad the son of Jeshua (Yeshua) and Noadiah the son of Binnui,
Now see the underlined above where it says Jeshua, it’s actually Yehsua in Aramaic. These people were in Iraq and coming out from there so the book was written in Aramaic and we can see the Aramaic form of the name is used and what most people do not know that when they use the appellation Yeshua its actually Aramaic a totally separate language from Hebrew but sharing its Semitic root. So next time you hear people use Yehsua you will know that are using the Aramaic but don’t even realize it while those who use Yahushua will be using the Hebrew form of the name which is the correct form.
When you understand this then the titles such as Jesu are irrelevant because there was no J in the Hebrew language neither in the English language five hundred years ago. The astute man or woman can just and go and look at the King James Version Bible from 1611 in any good library or even over the internet and the case proves itself that Jesus was never the name prior to 500 years ago. Remember I pointed out the Arabs in Saudi Arabia never used the modern term “Jesus.” In the 7th century they were using the term ee-sa.
The transliteration of the name Jesus is therefore erroneous. How a name such as Yahushua become Jesus is quite surprising taking these facts into consideration.
Have you ever thought how would anyone on this good earth find the name “Jesus” in the writings of Moses? They would never find it and is guaranteed to fail.
We must understand that it may be OK from a human stand point to call Him Jesus but from a divine perspective it is better to address Him by His actual name. If you did not know this then it’s OK and I would never condemn anyone for it but more people need to be educated and not condemned.
There argument my friend presented above whatever we can call him is incorrect however if we are sincere and do not know His name then you can call out to the creator of this world without a name. I called out to Allah for Ten years to speak to me, was I not sincere? I was very sincere but Allah never spoke to me but Yahuweh did so sincerity is not the issue.
While at first I was busy calling on Allah however when I just called out to the creator of the earth He responded. My own experience contradicts what the brother asserts about calling him different names but I don’t want you to go by my private experience but go by Scripture and accepted biblical traditions.
Ezekiel 14:1 Now some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me. (2) And the word of YHWH came unto me, saying, (3) Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?
These elders were very sincere in their approach they seemed to be elders in the camp of Israel, mature but their hearts were serving other gods so why should the God of Israel be enquired?
Yahuweh refuses to be inquired so even being sincere but without proper action might still be worthless. This is man’s idea not the creator’s. He does allow room for ignorance but arrogance or willful disobedience can keep us away from the truth.
If my name is Simon then I like to be called Simon, though I may not mind being called Si or Simeon or the Hebrew version of my name Shim'on but you could even call me Sam and I may not mind at all but I would not accept these as my legal names such as Sam, Samson or Samuel even though they are similar sounding or even close to my real name? So is the appellation Jesus similar sounding to Yahushua? I do not think so.
Let me ask you a question, would I be happy if you called me David or John? If I as a mere mortal will not like being called David that means I carry the characteristic of love and hate, which came from the creator God who would also hate it if I demean His name and bring it to nothing by changing it or using it for ill gain. How many of you know that it is a sin to change His name or to bring it to nothing? Its one thing to protect His name so it is not defiled but completely another to hide it from all people for worship and praise.

Shemoth (Exodus) 20:7 [Gimmel: Three]You shall not falsify the Name of YHWH your Elohim or make it empty; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless who takes His Name and empties it.
We know that Yahuweh would not be happy if we called Him by human contracted names or false deity names that are established such as Allah. Inventions such as Allah, Krishna are just graven images and nothing more thus not worthy to be glorified.

Acts 26:14-15 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew language, Sha’ul, Sha’ul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads. 15 And I said, who are you, Master? And he said, I am Yahushua whom you persecute.
For those that don't know the Saviour's NAME and His native language it was the Hebrew language and the NAME is Yahushua the same pronunciation to Joshua or many today call Him Yeshua the shortened form which does not mean salvation. It only means “salvation” if you spell it with the Hebrew letter heh otherwise it does not mean “salvation.” You will find most do not spell his name with the heh at the end. Look it up. It is spelt Yud, Shin, Vav and Ayin. Note the underline below does not have the Herbew leter Heh (ה) at the end of it.
Matthew 1:1 in Hebrew ספר תולדת ישוע
The form ישוע (Yeshua) can be used but it does not mean salvation as explained above.
It only means salvation by adding the heh at the end such as ישׁועה or a tav for plural would be Yahshuot. Don’t be fooled by cheap doctrines of men.
What about YESHU? The Indian Christians call him by either Yeshu or Eshu, this term Yeshu was a clever ploy to devise an acronym by some of the orthodox Rabbis in the first century (note not all Orthodox Rabbis hated Yahushua, only some from the School of Shammai hated him who were zealots and wanted to kill Yahushua), which goes something like this;
Yimach sh'mo v'zikhrono
The above Hebrew means “May his name and memory be blotted out.”
In Greek the name is written as ee-sous. Both the Hebrew form (Joshua) which is Yahushua and Jesus’ name Yahushua come out as ee-sous. Since Greek has no consonant y, so it uses the initial i which should theoretically come out sounding like a y. The Greek Alphabet has no letter to pronounce the sound of the letter S or Shin in Hebrew so it is replaced with the transliteration of sigma or s. The final vowel point is a oo sound or a U sound but the guttural consonant of ayin a vowel has been added. The s on the end is part of a standard conversion from other languages to Greek. Since Greek nouns almost always have case endings, including names, the s is added to give the name the right feel. So we can see how in Greek we end up with something completely different to Yahushua such as ee-sous.
Luke 1:31-32 "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Yahushua (Jesus). (32) "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and YHWH Elohim will give Him the throne of His father David.
Luke confirms His name was Yahushua and not the one many claim such as Yeshua or Jesus today.
Zechariah iterated what YHWH wanted to tell the world all along
Zechariah 6:9-13 And the word of YHWH came unto me, saying, (10) Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah; (11) Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua [YAHUSHUA] the son of Josedech, the high priest; (12) And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh Yahuweh of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of Yahuweh: 13 Even he shall build the temple of Yahuweh; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
Clearly the English name Joshua is pronounced as Yahushua, which is the Saviour's real name.
Acts 26:15 And I said, Who are You, Master? And He said, I am Yahushua whom you persecute.
A friend Robert Young quotes in his book Name above ALL Names page 75/76 as follows:
As one author put it, “Once the Jews came under Greek influence, we note the tendency to replace or to translate Jewish names by similar sounding Greek names.” (My highlighting.) [ From a quotation of E. L. Sukenik Journal of Palestinian Oriental Society 8-1927, pgs, 113-121, given by Gerhard Kittel Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, vol. 3, page 286.] The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia has this entry: “Jason (Greek form of the Aramaic of the name of Joshua).” [ Vol. 6, pg. 42, 1948 copyright.]
On page 110 of The New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge we read, “JASON: A Greek name borne often by Jews of the Maccabean or later times and by Jewish Christians. On account of its resemblance to the Hebrew-Jewish name Jesus or Joshua, it was often assumed by Jews inclined to Greek culture or living in a Greek environment.” (My underlining)
Of course, one has to overlook their saying “Jesus or Joshua”. What they obviously mean is the Hebrew name commonly called “Jesus” and “Joshua” in English usage. Their scholarship is too good for them to mean that “Jesus” or “Joshua” are the correct sounds of this one Hebrew name found written in the English both as “Jesus” (when referring to the Messiah) and “Joshua” (when referring to the son of Nun). In dealing with the subject of what “JASON” is, they are not trying to be exact about the pronunciation of the Hebrew, but merely using “Jesus or Joshua” so the public, in their limited knowledge, will understand the main point.
In other words Robert says that the Name was never pronounced Jesus but as Jason which later got transliterated into Jesus with the advent of the J about five centuries ago.
Robert beautifully sums it like this on page 77 of his book Name above ALL Names
So the sum of the matter is this. The Hebrew name of our Savior was a name first developed by Moses through combining the name of our Creator, “Yah”, with the name of his servant – the man today commonly called “Joshua”. He changed his servant’s name, which meant “Salvation”, by calling him “Yah-Salvation”. Therefore, the significance is primarily in the sound of this name that Moses “called” him so that when a Hebrew heard that name spoken he would be hearing “Yah is Salvation”. The written form of the name in Hebrew (or any other language) is primarily a group of symbols used to portray the sound wherein the real significance exists.
The prophet Moses changed the name of Hoshea to Yahushua in the Hebrew and with the combination of Yud from which we get Yahushua.
How do we know the pronunciation of Yahushua or YHWH is correct with a short oo sound in the middle. We only need to look at the prophets names such as Eliyahu who carried the name of Yahuweh also reflecting the NAME of the Saviour. ELI-YAHU so we can see that it is YAHU at the end because it contains the letter Vav and that spells in the ancient to a W or OO sound. How about Yesha-YAHU (Isaiah) so from at least two prophets names we can prove that the correct rendering of Yahuweh or Yahueh with a short aspirated OO sound and the Saviour's name with a short aspirated OO as well such as Yahushua. Some choose Yeshua or Yahshua though I do not condemn or criticize such transliterations because I find they are also closer to the original and simply the shorter forms post exilic but I will caution that Yeshua does not mean salvation without the missing heh but nevertheless its a start to switch from the traditional English form of Jesus to Yeshuah.
The Bottom line
We have transliteration of the sacred name in the ancient cuneiform script with written vowels of this language. In 1898 A. H.Sayce transliterated three cuneiform tablets dating back to Hamurrabi that clearly said "Jahweh is God."[1], Hammurabi was the 6th king in the period 1792-1750 BC

In addition the cuneiform inscriptions known as the Murashu texts dating back to about 500BC leave no room for any further debate give the game away that the term Yahuweh is correct and even the term Yahushua is more accurate with clear pronounceable vowels. This means the Masorets change is a very late change and when we go back to the older evidence, we can get an accurate transliteration of the most set-apart name thus we should use it with reverence and to protect it too with Titles where possible so we do not desecrate it amongst the nations.
