How long does it take to leaven

One of the question asked to me recently was surely it does not take a few minutes for the dough to be leavened because if it did then the Hebrew Israelites ate leavened bread by that definition but the Torah says they ate unleavened how is this possible?

Shemoth 12:33-35 And the Mitzrim (Egyptians) urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We shall all be dead. 34 And the people took their dough before it was chametz (leaven), having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders. 35 And the children of Y’sra’el had done according to the word of Musa (Moses); and they had asked from the Mitzrim (Egyptians) articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing:

It is clear that Judaism’s designation today of the dough being leaven for eighteen minutes is not the same as the time the Hebrew Israelites did it. It is also clear they kneaded their dough but had no time to allow the dough to leaven. Surely it was not eighteen minutes for them to arrive at Succoth in order to cook unleavened cakes or chappatis for short because that is what they cooked essentially chapattis. They did not make matzah as modern Jews do. It was not cracker type and we would not eat that even today I myself find the taste of cracker matzah not to my liking but okay for services as unleavened bread. Our old habits remain because we at small chappatis and many many cultures retain that in the east just look at the Indians and maxicans. Some of you who have never been to the east would not know this but this is true.

Shemoth 12:37, 39 Then the children of Y’sra’el journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children.[1] 39 And they baked matzah (unleavened) cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Mitzrayim (Egypt), for it was not chametz (leaven); because they were driven out of Mitzrayim (Egypt), and could not wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves.

The first question is where is Remeses and the second one I would have to ask is how far is the place called Succoth from Rameses? We may have even disagreement about if today’s Succoth is the same place as defined on the map however we can conclude from simple observation that it was several hours away before they stopped for food and water. It is suggested that Succoth was the Egyptian town of Tel-Maskhuta which was a few miles away. It is likely my opinion that it would be at least three to four hours away.

One of the things I have to keep saying is that Israelites were a Nilotic people which means Blacks living in the land of Afrca as Israel was not in Europe as today popularly envisioned. They were different shades of brown or dark brown. They lived in a certain way. They occupied areas of North Africa. We need to remember that the Israelites were traveling to Mount Sinai which is in Saudi Arabia down South from today’s Israel another place originally inhabited by the sons of Shem who were also black in colour confirmed to be of Negroid origin.

I am afraid that the Caucasian Yahushua and Caucasian Moses films made in the West have nothing to do with my forefathers as I don’t know them but I do know my forefathers in Iran were not Caucasians but of dark brown colour but some were lighter colour too. This is not to say that Caucasian cannot join Israel. Hebrews were either born into Hebrew families or could be converted and adopted. So if you are a Caucasian with no Israelite bloodline you certainly can be called a Hebrew if you have converted to the Hebrew faith. For practical purposes all the people who joined Israel were simply called Yahudim.

Some people ask me do I have a problem with white people. The answer is No. However I do have a problem with them if they claim to be genetic Israel because they are not. Today’s Zionists who are predominantly Russian, Slav and of Germanic blood claim to be genetic Israel and history proves that they are not. On top of this Christendom has misinterpreted and misapplied prophesies which are yet future to 1948 and they all jump on the bandwagon of Israel being recreated. Also the so called Western ‘Jesus’ sold to the West and East is a fake impostor (see my book Yahushua the Black Messiah) and so is modern Jewry from eastern European Marxist and communist origins claiming to be Semitic while being the sons of Japheth however those who have chosen to keep the Torah can certainly become Israelites excluding the godless one’s who want to form their one world order. Any son of Noah’s children could join Israel and be converted but Yahushua was a Hebrew Israelite that is a very important distinction that cannot be stressed enough and he was dark brown skin (another shade of black) with wooly negro like hair and features. How many have seen this real Yahushua while I keep hearing people seeing the white Jesus fella. The one some of you keep seeing in your dreams is Borgia the illegitimate son of Pope Alexander VI. That is unfortunately the image derived from TV and pictures of this fraud perpetrated on innocent people who do not know otherwise. If you think I am making this all up this is not so. All this can be proven from the genealogies written in the Torah.

Now coming back to the question of Succoth. I think it is evident that when around two million Hebrew men and women were traveling to Mount Sinai (Exodus 12:37) that with children it is impossible to travel for more than six hours without a rest. So this is why I say they would have rested around four to six hour marker and that would be the distance of the area called Succoth. I had to ring my sister just now and ask her a question to get my bearings straight. How long did it take to make the flour leavened in our homes in Pakistan in the older days when we were kids. She told me we could put flour outside for several hours and it would not be leavened, it needed to be left overnight for that to be fully leavened. So I have my answer to the question some of you have asked. How long?

Today in the modern world we use something called yeast but in the older days and even when I was a kid we did not use any such substance. Yeast was made from the dough of flour and then added to the next dough to make what I can term Naan bread or leavened bread. The middle-eastern people, Indians and Pakistanis will understand exactly what I am saying. We allowed dough to sit for over twelve hours before it became leaven. Then we would take a small pinch of that dough and add it to the fresh one we would make then this would give us perfectly leavened chappati or Naan bread. The Pathans in Afghanistan and in Peshawar Pakistan still follow through this practice. In many places in the east no one goes to buy yeast the concept would be laughable however today we easily go to Morrison or Tesco in England and for the US they go to the big Wal-Mart supermarket to buy yeast to add to their cooking. This is modernism and I did not know this style of living as a kid and I can tell you we did not do this even in my generation because our thinking is very different from the Western ways.

This clears up many things. Today’s designated time of eighteen minutes by the Talmud is only applicable to the modern way of living but in essence flour does not leaven quickly however there is a problem. Modern wheat if left out uncooked as a dough does not last long since it has been created using modern methods and can decay very quickly while ancient wheat was made without artificial pesticides would last a lot longer. This fact is confirmed even in Pakistan in the older days forty years ago they did not use pesticides and so the wheat lasted longer and took longer to leaven while today if you leave kneaded dough outside in a hot country like Pakistan then in two hours it goes black. This indicates modern practices causing problems in the foods we eat. Therefore the conclusive proof is this that the wheat that was grown in ancient Egypt would have taken at least twelve hours to leaven and if they traveled for only four to six hours before they cooked their chappatis (flat cakes) then we can see there is no problem in our understanding as they would have had perfect unleavened bread/chappatis. Halleluyah.

What about the genealogy of Luke and Matthew why two fathers of Yahushua Heli or Jacob in Matthew 1:16 and Luke 3:23? Will the real father of Yahushua please stand up!
